Synara 1.0.0 moves Oh My Pi onto the stable app

Synara 1.0.0 puts Oh My Pi, Inbox, provider accounts, handoffs, and Auto-fix CI in Stable; Hubs and Tasks stay in Beta.

Synara v1.0.0, published on 2026-10-05, moves Oh My Pi into the Stable desktop app with Inbox, provider accounts, same-chat handoffs, and Auto-fix CI. Hubs and the Tasks to-do list stay in the separate Synara Beta app. The two apps use separate update feeds and data homes, and Beta-only changes are not copied back to Stable.

Key facts

  • GitHub's release record gives Synara v1.0.0 a publication time of 2026-10-05T19:14:03Z.
  • The release notes cover 496 commits, including merges, from v0.9.2 through commit 84daea248.
  • Synara connects to the local omp executable through Agent Client Protocol (ACP) mode.
  • omp models --json supplies model records and per-model thinking levels. The available levels are off, minimal, low, medium, high, xhigh, and max, depending on the model.
  • Hubs and the Tasks to-do list remain Beta-only. Hubs allow 1 to 8 parallel threads and start with 3 by default.
  • Stable uses ~/.synara. Beta uses ~/.synara-beta. A copy goes from Stable to Beta; Beta-only changes do not go back to Stable.

How Oh My Pi runs in Synara Stable

Synara starts Oh My Pi through its omp executable in ACP mode. Oh My Pi keeps the provider account, credentials, model routing, and thinking levels. Synara supplies the task, repository environment, transcript, approvals, review views, and Git workflow around the session.

The model boundary is runtime-driven. Oh My Pi publishes its multi-provider catalog through omp models --json, with thinking efforts attached to each model. Synara reads that catalog when it starts a session instead of maintaining a fixed list of models. A local check on 2026-10-06 returned omp/18.1.19; that is the version of the installation checked for this post, not a requirement imposed by Synara.

What Synara 1.0.0 puts in Stable

The v1.0.0 release moves five user-facing areas onto the Stable track:

  • Oh My Pi can be selected alongside the other supported coding providers.
  • Inbox groups running work, chats needing attention, review requests, and a daily activity recap. The working day starts at 4am.
  • Multiple accounts can be configured for one provider, with account-specific environments and usage views.
  • A model picker can hand work to another provider in the same conversation while keeping the chat and workspace context.
  • Auto-fix CI can watch an open pull request and ask its linked chat to address failing checks. It is opt-in, respects chat permissions, limits retries, and does not merge automatically.

The release also changes terminal workspaces to one terminal pane per chat in the main workspace or right dock. Opening the pane again focuses the existing session. Project actions reuse an idle terminal, while busy or unverifiable sessions are protected. Commit 84daea2, which implements this change, adds fresh activity checks before idle-only terminal actions.

What Synara Beta keeps

Synara Beta keeps Hubs, the Library used by those hubs, and the Tasks to-do list. Hubs combine a coordinator conversation, worker chats, shared context, and versioned files. New hubs allow 1 to 8 parallel threads, with 3 as the default. The Tasks list stores to-dos and delegation controls; Stable's Inbox and Kanban cards are separate from those records.

That split is visible in the product docs read on 2026-10-06: Stable 1.0.0 includes Inbox, Kanban, Auto-fix CI, and Oh My Pi, while Hubs and Tasks remain Beta-only. Installing Stable does not turn it into Beta.

Why Synara Stable and Synara Beta do not merge their data

Synara installs the two apps beside each other. Stable stores its data under ~/.synara; Beta stores its data under ~/.synara-beta and follows a separate update feed. On macOS, Stable can install Beta and copy a snapshot of Stable chats, projects, and settings into it. The copy replaces existing Beta data after confirmation. Stable data remains unchanged, and work created only in Beta is not copied back.

Beta also shares crash reports and anonymous usage statistics to help diagnose prerelease failures. Stable does not send Beta diagnostics. That makes the app choice a data boundary, not only a release-channel label.
